Club Rush, which took place on March 11 and 14, is one of the most anticipated events for many students and takes place biannually. It gives students a preview of the many different clubs on campus, and they can support such clubs by purchasing various delicious food and drinks. This event is an exciting blend of school and community spirit, as students are brought together to fundraise through food sales. Club Rush is the perfect time to discover participation opportunities, whether it’s an interest club, service club, sports club, etc.
“Club Rush is my favorite activity because I get to eat Korean corn dogs,” said Ashlyn Phung, 11. Her enthusiasm is shared by many other students as they are allowed to indulge in a wide selection of treats, from cultural delicacies like Korean Culture Club’s yakgwa (a traditional Korean honey cookie) to other favorites such as pizza, fried chicken, ice cream, and spam musubi. These mouthwatering meals only heighten the thrill and excitement of the campus atmosphere.
“I think Club Rush is good because we can support different clubs and fund them. I also really enjoy eating Raising Cane’s,” said Shiloh Lee, 11. Similar to Phung and many other students, Lee enjoys herself during Club Rush because it’s not just about the food; it’s about building a community. By purchasing food from different booths, students can fund the operation of various organizations.
Club Rush is an event that is beyond eating and socializing – it is an important part of Titan culture and fosters camaraderie. Such events allow students to become a part of the school community and strengthen bonds with peers. Traditionally, Club Rush takes place in the quad, but due to the rainy conditions, the event was moved into the foyer this year. Despite the change in setting, Club Rush did not diminish in gratification. Titans were still able to celebrate spirit, unity, and community.
