Organized by the Senior Class Committee, this event was not only a hit but also a testament to the power of community and camaraderie. Students eagerly lined up, armed with whipped cream pies and grins stretching from ear to ear. The atmosphere in the quad was electric, as laughter and cheers filled the air.
The Senior Class Committee had been hard at work in the weeks leading up to the event, spreading the word ab. With three pricing options based on proximity to the target—$20 for 3 feet away, $15 for 8 feet away, and $5 for 15 feet away—the fundraiser offered something for everyone. And it wasn’t just teachers who found themselves in the line of fire. Several brave students also volunteered to be pied, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event. “The other Andy and I spent 80 dollars to pie Barton in the face 4 times because we planned to pie him two weeks before at Robotics Worlds. It was money well spent,” Andy Liu, 11, said. As pies flew and laughter echoed, it became clear that Pie a Teacher was about more than just raising funds for the senior class. It was about coming together as a school community, creating unforgettable memories, and supporting each other in pursuit of a common goal. Being pied five or six times, Mr. Quiggle said, “I joined this event because I think the more opportunities on campus teachers and students can interact with each other, the better.”
In the end, the fundraiser was a resounding success, raising a substantial amount of money for the senior class. With the support of students from all grades, Pie a Teacher proved to be a shining example of what can be achieved when we work together.
