The movie is 1 hour and 42 minutes and shares many good laughs. Hubie Halloween was released October 7, 2020. The movie was directed by Steven Brill and produced by Adam Sandler and Allen Covert. The show is based on the Halloween Spirit and a small town’s celebration in Massachusetts.

Adam Sandler is the star actor who plays Hubie Dubois. The character, Hubie, is new to the city and makes a fool of himself being scared of all the Halloween decor, and gets made fun of as if he was a young boy. As he bike rides throughout the city, young students chase him around and throw things at him because of how afraid he is of Halloween. Hubie’s neighbor is very nice to him, but he is also very suspicious. He makes many loud noises across the street but he tells Hubie to not worry about them. Although Hubie is told not to worry about the noises, he still reports them out of fear and gets scouted as a supervisor, as a joke, by the police. Hubie doesn’t know that being called to monitor the city is a joke, so on Halloween night, Hubie sends himself to go to a Halloween party to keep an eye out on everything going on. During Halloween night in the small city, missing people had been reported at a corn maze, a drive in movie, and all over the city. When finding out the people missing were people who bullied Hubie during high school, people start to believe that Hubie is the one who has kidnapped them because one of them also dated his crush, Violet (Actor Julie Bowen). Little does everybody know that Hubie isn’t the one who kidnapped them, but it was his mother protecting Hubie from being bullied. 

The movie, Hubie Halloween, perfectly fits the Halloween spirit and has very good jokes. It creates many laughs especially with the great actors fitting the roles perfectly which is why I enjoyed watching the movie. It is like a very traditional spooky Halloween movie with a great twist that would be great to watch every year, around Halloween.
